spacerecover
Privacy
Your files. Your privacy. Effective 8 October 2026. This policy covers spacerecover for Mac and iPhone, spacerecover.com, support and the subscription service. Hoolio Devs Limited is responsible for this service and its personal-data processing. Our address is 203 Pius Anyim Street, Wuye, Abuja, Nigeria. Contact us at spacebackapp@gmail.com. Photo and file processing spacerecover reads files and media you permit it to access to measure storage, compare content, analyse image quality and convert supported videos. Analysis and conversion run locally on your Mac or iPhone. We do not upload your photos, videos, thumbnails, filenames or filesystem paths to the spacerecover licensing or payment server. When you choose a paired Mac, selected media travels directly between your phone and that Mac over an authenticated encrypted local connection. Pair only with a computer you trust. Photo access and Mac filesystem permissions limit what spacerecover can read. Retrieving a cloud-only Photos original may require an Apple-managed iCloud download, separate from spacerecover's local analysis. Information on your devices Local app state can include scan findings, fingerprints, selected items, job progress, session history, transfer manifests, import receipts and trusted-device records. These support review, resume and recovery. Retained originals and exported media remain in the destinations you choose. Signed license tokens and pending checkout claims use native secure storage; installation and verification-time bookkeeping use local preferences. Removing the app does not necessarily remove exported files, retained originals or secure-storage entries. Removing Photos items can place them in Recently Deleted. Permanent deletion is a separate explicit step. With iCloud Photos, deletion affects the synced library and other devices. Retained originals, Trash, Recently Deleted and regenerable caches have different recovery paths; exported copies remain separate from their source. Subscriptions, licensing and payments When you purchase or activate, our service processes your billing email, selected country, plan and billing interval, payment reference and status, amount and currency, license and installation identifiers, device-seat usage and subscription dates. We use these to deliver and verify your subscription, manage renewals and seats, reconcile charges, prevent misuse and handle support or refunds. Single covers one Mac installation and Family up to six. The iPhone companion does not initiate external checkout. Paystack hosts checkout and processes payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive complete card numbers or card security codes. Stored billing email, license keys, checkout claims and provider authorization or email tokens are encrypted in our database. Payment references, provider codes, card-country metadata and entitlement records support fulfillment and reconciliation. We verify successful transactions with Paystack before granting or renewing access. Selected subscription-creation webhook data is stored encrypted to reconcile events arriving before the first payment. Where shared merchant webhook routing is enabled, unrelated business events are forwarded to the existing business payment integration without storing their payload in spacerecover. Support, website security and cookies A contact submission includes the name, email address, topic and message you enter. We use it to respond to your request. Messages go to our support inbox; email delivery may use Mailgun, and our support address uses Google's Gmail service. Send only information needed for your request. Do not send full card details, passwords, license tokens or private media unless separately agreed for a specific support need. The website uses session and security cookies for forms, login and request protection, and local browser preferences such as language where applicable. Hosting and application logs can include IP address, request URL, browser information, response status and error details. They help us operate and secure the service. Cloudflare Turnstile, when configured for the contact form, processes technical request information to distinguish legitimate requests from abuse. Optional Microsoft Clarity website analytics is currently disabled pending an appropriate consent flow. If enabled, it helps us understand page use and interactions. It is website analytics, separate from local media processing. Contact-form fields are masked in this integration. Browser settings can limit cookies, although disabling essential cookies may affect forms or login. Optional analytics availability depends on the site's analytics configuration; this policy does not give consent on your behalf. Optional application summaries Application summary telemetry defaults to off. Where separately enabled and explicitly opted into, only allowed aggregate operation type, item counts and byte totals are accepted. Names and filesystem paths are rejected. Operational license and payment records are separate from optional summaries. Providers and international processing Our production website and subscription server are hosted by DigitalOcean in its London, United Kingdom region. Paystack provides payment and subscription processing. Mailgun may provide email delivery, Google processes support email, Cloudflare provides Turnstile when enabled, and Microsoft provides Clarity when enabled. Apple provides platform permissions, secure storage, Photos and any iCloud operations you choose. These providers may process information in other countries under their own policies. A server's region does not mean all provider systems, support operations or backups are located there. We share only information required for the relevant service, support, security or a legal obligation. We do not sell your personal information or use your local media for advertising. Where international-transfer protections are required by applicable law, we use the required safeguards for our processing and assess the relevant provider terms. Provider privacy information is available from DigitalOcean, Paystack, Mailgun, Google, Cloudflare, Microsoft and Apple on their official websites. Purposes, retention and safeguards We process information to perform your subscription contract and respond to requests, comply with accounting or other legal duties, and pursue legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the service. Where consent is the required basis for optional processing, that processing depends on consent, which you can withdraw without affecting earlier lawful processing. We retain personal information only for the time needed for the purpose it serves, including an active subscription, support resolution, reconciliation, fraud prevention and applicable record-keeping duties. We review the need for records and delete or de-identify information that is no longer needed. Deletion requests are handled by review rather than an automatic app-wide deletion timer. Required accounting, dispute or legal records may need to remain after other information is removed. Backup copies may remain until the relevant backup is replaced or expires and are protected against ordinary use. We use encrypted transport, restricted access, signed license tokens and encryption of sensitive stored billing and license fields. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. Your requests and rights Email spacebackapp@gmail.com for access, correction, a copy of your information, deletion or questions about this policy. Use your billing email where possible and identify the payment reference or service involved; do not send secrets. We verify identity and billing ownership before disclosing or changing personal information and may ask for proportionate evidence. We explain any legal or contractual reason that prevents full deletion and respond within the period required by applicable law. Depending on applicable law, you may also request restriction or portability, object to processing, withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority. In Nigeria you can contact the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng; elsewhere you can contact your local authority. These requests concern information held by us. Local media and device state remain under your control and may require device-level action. Policy changes We publish changes and their effective date here. Material changes affecting existing customers will be communicated through an appropriate service notice or email. Contact Hoolio Devs Limited at the address above for questions about this policy.
